After years of study, I finally completed my Ph.D program in July 2004, and I have been working as an Assistant Researcher and the leader of the face recognition group in Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) since Aug. 2002. I am now responsible for the researches,  developments and applications of novel approaches to face identification and verification. I also involve in several projects sponsored by Natural Sciences Fund, National 863 Hi-tech Program and some companies in IT industry.

   From September 1997 to July 1999, I was studying in Harbin Institute of Technology, where I received my master degree on Facial feature extraction and face recognition in July 1999. During the period of the pursuing the master degree, as a major researcher, I took part in several projects including one sponsored by National 863 Hi-tech Program. My degree thesis was awarded as the rank-1 excellent one and I graduated as one rank-1 excellent graduate of HIT that year.

I received my bachelor degree for a thesis on face recognition majored in Computer Application in Harbin Institute of Technology after four years' study in computer department, from September 1993 to July 1997. I have been rewarded by many scholarships in the four years and graduated as a rank-1 graduate student of Harbin Institute of Technology that year.  

My three years' Middle School life was spent in the RiZhao First High Middle School, located in RiZhao City, a little seashore city in the southeast of ShanDong province.
